Terms of use
These terms govern the use of FitBlizu — a free map of gyms, sports venues and trainers for Slovenia and Croatia.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 FitBlizu is provided by GE-KO, Maja Dolžan s.p., Cesta Toneta Tomšiča 71, 4270 Jesenice, Slovenia, registration number 8732043000, VAT ID SI33880263, registered in the Business Register of Slovenia (AJPES); e-mail info@fitblizu.com (referred to below as "FitBlizu", "we").
1.2 These terms apply to the fitblizu.com website in all languages, the home-screen app (PWA), proprietary profile edit links, and badges for the websites of gyms and sports venues.
1.3 You use FitBlizu without an account. By using it, you accept these terms. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
1.4 These terms exist in Slovenian (the original), Croatian and English; in the event of any discrepancy, the Slovenian text prevails.
2. What FitBlizu is
2.1 FitBlizu is a free map of gyms, sports venues (courts, pools, climbing gyms, studios) and personal trainers with opening hours, prices, equipment and directions; for gyms also with crowd reports. FitBlizu does not sell tickets, memberships or day passes, does not take bookings for courts or sessions, and is not an intermediary between you and the provider.
2.2 Listing a place, claiming and editing a profile are free of charge. The ranking and display of places are not paid for.
3. Data is provided for information only
3.1 We collect data from the official pages of the places listed, public sources, and from owners and visitors, keeping the source and verification date for each item. Nevertheless, opening hours, prices, equipment and access may change without notice. Please check with the provider before visiting.
3.2 The crowd level is an estimate based on anonymous visitor reports from the last 60 minutes ("best time to visit" is an average of the last 90 days) and is not a measurement.
3.3 The "verified" label means the profile was claimed or confirmed by the owner, or checked by an editor; it does not amount to a rating or a recommendation of the place.
4. Visitor contributions
4.1 Contributions are crowd reports for gyms, suggested corrections for gyms and sports venues, and suggestions for new gyms. Please submit them in good faith and to the best of your knowledge, accurately.
4.2 Suggestions are reviewed by an editor; we may accept, correct or reject them without giving reasons. By submitting a suggestion you allow us to use and publish the data on FitBlizu free of charge.
4.3 It is prohibited to submit false or misleading reports, content that infringes the rights of others, or personal data of third parties.
5. Profile of a place and claiming
5.1 The profile of a gym, sports venue or trainer may be claimed by the owner, the trainer themselves or a person authorised to represent them. Before a claim is approved, we verify the connection to the place (e.g. via its business e-mail address).
5.2 The edit link is personal and valid for 30 days; do not pass it on to others. If you suspect misuse, contact us and we will cancel the link.
5.3 The owner is responsible for the accuracy of data they enter (schedule, prices, equipment, description, photos); photos may only be ones the owner holds rights to. We may correct or remove content that is clearly incorrect or unlawful.
5.4 The owner may at any time request correction or removal of the profile at info@fitblizu.com.
6. Badge and QR sticker
The owner of a place may use the FitBlizu badge and QR sticker free of charge on its website or on its premises, solely to link to its profile. Use is optional and does not affect how the place is displayed. The badge must not be altered in a way that is misleading.
7. Prohibited use
- automated scraping of content, or use of the API with your own software, without our written permission;
- overloading the service, attempting to bypass security mechanisms, or accessing other parties' edit links;
- false crowd reports or suggestions that mislead or harm a provider or visitors;
- using the service for spam or covert advertising.
8. Intellectual property
The design, text, graphics, logo and software of FitBlizu are protected. Map: OpenFreeMap © OpenMapTiles, data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL licence). Logos and names of gyms and sports venues belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify the place.
9. Availability
The service is free of charge and provided on an "as is" basis, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may add, change or discontinue features.
10. Liability
10.1 GE-KO is liable to the extent required by mandatory regulations; nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing affects consumers' statutory rights.
10.2 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the consequences of inaccurate or outdated data about places, decisions made on that basis (e.g. visiting a closed gym or court), third-party content and services (providers' websites, booking systems, navigation apps, maps), or outages outside our reasonable control.
10.3 FitBlizu is not a provider of fitness or sports services; the gym, sports venue or trainer is responsible for safety, services, bookings and prices.
11. Reporting unlawful content
If you believe FitBlizu contains unlawful content or incorrect data about you or your gym or sports venue, please write to us at info@fitblizu.com stating the page title and your reasoning. We review reports without delay and inform you of our decision.
12. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms due to new features, regulatory changes or business reasons. The version and date are shown at the top; previous versions are sent on request.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
13.1 The law of the Republic of Slovenia applies, without affecting mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence in the EU/EEA.
13.2 We first attempt to resolve disputes amicably via info@fitblizu.com; otherwise the competent court in the Republic of Slovenia has jurisdiction (a consumer may also bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence, where the law so provides).
13.3 In accordance with the Slovenian Zakon o izvensodnem reševanju potrošniških sporov (ZIsRPS; Out-of-Court Consumer Dispute Resolution Act), we do not recognise any out-of-court consumer dispute resolution provider as competent.
14. Final provisions
If any individual provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms are supplemented by the Privacy Policy. There are no paid services in this version; separate, previously published rules will apply if and when they are introduced.
