Padel in five points
- It is played in pairs on a 20 × 10 metre court enclosed by glass walls and mesh.
- After bouncing on the ground the ball may also come off a wall and stay in play, so rallies last longer than in tennis.
- The serve is underhand, after the ball has bounced once.
- Scoring is the same as in tennis: 15, 30, 40, game.
- Rackets are solid, with no strings; balls look like tennis balls but have slightly lower pressure.
Before your first game
- Booking: you book a court directly with the centre; the contact is on each venue page. FitBlizu does not take bookings.
- Gear: ask whether the centre rents rackets and sells balls. You do not need your own racket for your first few games.
- Shoes: shoes with good lateral support, ideally tennis or padel shoes.
- Indoor or outdoor: check with the centre whether the courts are covered. In summer, morning and evening slots are more pleasant outdoors.
- PassSport: by our data 32 of the 38 padel centres are PassSport partners. Check with the centre what exactly it covers (court time, gear rental).
