Frequently asked questions

Short answers about what you can find on FitBlizu, where the data comes from and what FitBlizu does not do.

What is FitBlizu and which sports does it cover?

FitBlizu is a map of sports and activities in Slovenia and Croatia. It shows gyms and training studios, courts for tennis, padel, pickleball, squash and badminton, swimming pools, climbing gyms and personal trainers with a fixed location.

Is it free for visitors?

Yes. Searching is free and needs no sign-up. The profile for owners and providers is free as well.

How do I find a sports venue or a trainer near me?

Open the map and allow location, or type a town into the search box. Gyms and sports venues share one map; the filters let you keep only the sports you want, and the map key explains each pin.

How do I find tennis, padel, a pool or a climbing gym?

Type the sport into the search box (for example "padel") or open the Sports page and pick a category. Every sport has its own page with a list by town and a map.

Can I book a court or a session through FitBlizu?

No. FitBlizu does not take bookings and does not sell passes or memberships. The profile shows the contact details and website; you book directly with the provider.

How do I know whether the information is up to date?

Each profile shows when a fact was last checked, and prices only appear with a date. Still check the venue's official website before you go, because hours and prices change.

What is a day pass?

A day pass is a one-off payment for a single gym visit without a membership. We show it when we know the price and the date it was checked; the map filter lists gyms that offer one.

Can I find a gym with a day pass, MultiSport or PassSport?

Yes, when we have that information. The "Day pass" and "PassSport" filters are in the filter menu, and MultiSport is available for Croatian gyms. Sports venues that accept PassSport carry the label too.

How do crowd reports work?

People at a gym report with one tap whether it is quiet, moderate or busy. We only show reports from the last 60 minutes; they are anonymous and rate-limited to prevent abuse. Courts and pools have no crowd reports.

How do I know if a place is open right now?

The map and the profile show "Open · until 22:00" or "Closed · opens at …" from the known opening hours, and the "Open now" filter hides closed gyms. When we do not know the hours, we say so.

What does the blue "verified" tick mean?

A profile with the tick was edited or confirmed by its owner, or checked by our editor. Other profiles are based on public sources.

How do I add a place or suggest a correction?

Add a missing gym with the "Add a missing gym" button on the map, and report a mistake with "Suggest a correction" on the gym or venue page. To add a new sports venue or trainer, email info@fitblizu.com. An editor reviews every suggestion.

How does an owner claim a profile?

A gym owner taps "Claim profile" on the gym page and receives an editing link valid for 30 days, with no account or password. The same works for courts, pools, climbing gyms and trainers on their own page. The details are on the For owners page.

How do I install FitBlizu as an app?

FitBlizu is a web app (PWA). In your browser choose "Add to Home Screen" (in Safari via the Share button) and the map opens like an app, no app store needed.

Is FitBlizu available in other languages?

Yes. The map covers Slovenia and Croatia and is available in English, Slovenian and Croatian; pick the language in the menu.
